The 5C collet is also called the 5c collet, which is a common standard for milling and lathe processing. They are used to fix cylindrical blanks up to 1 inch (25 mm) in diameter and have a higher concentricity than three-jaw chucks so that they can be clamped and loosened faster and are very convenient to use.

The maximum straight-through capacity of the 5C chuck is 1-1/16 inches, including 1-1/16 inches, the rear bearing diameter is 1-1/4 inches, and the total length is 3-17/64 inches. The chuck has an external right-handed 1.238-inch x 20 thread for connecting the tie rod without an internal stop thread.
